Once a keen golfer. Gary now plays tennis, really enjoys skiing and tries to catch Salmon!
Peter Boardman. FCA. Company Secretary
Peter
having qualified in the
accountancy profession
has spent most of his time
in the automotive component
manufacturing industry
in senior management positions.
He joined the company in
1990 and after 17 years
as the financial director
continues to provide consultancy
and executive direction
as company secretary.
In
his spare time Peter enjoys
walking, cycling, grows
vegatbles in his allotment
and plays lawn bowls.
Kevin Mulholland MIMI. Managing Director
Joined the company as an apprentice in 1972. Before becoming MD in 1990 Kevin was technical director.
Kevin is a keen supporter of Coventry City football club and a former manager of his local village football team. He also has a set of golf clubs gathering dust!
Ian Neill. Sales Director
Ian joined the company when it purchased CLS Vehicle Systems and CLS Reman in September 2000. As commercial director of Carwood he ran our Birmingham operation, developing it into a major diesel remanufacturing centre. Having served his apprenticeship as a motor vehicle mechanic Ian was with the Lucas Group of companies in UK distribution for 28 years. Given his background it is not surprising his main interest was in successfully running specialist electrical and diesel workshops.
Andy Graham. ACCA. Financial Director
Andy joined the company in 1990 and qualified as an accountant in 1999.Today he is responsible for finance systems and administration.
Andy has two young children and is an enthusiastic Arsenal football club fan. A former tennis player and keen fun runner. He also enjoys all sports and listening to music.
Alan Baird. FIMI. Marketing Manager
Alan looks after the marketing strategy and activity for the group. He also runs internal and external training programmes. Before joining Carwood in 2001 Alan was in a senior sales role with a National PLC automotive distributor. He has been in the industry for more than 30 years. In his spare time Alan rides a Triumph Daytona motor cycle and more energetically a Kona mountain bike. He also plays the guitar and drums.
Dave Hopkins. Technical and Operations Director
After leaving school Dave was an apprentice plant mechanic working for a company who specialised in piling and foundation engineering. With over 25 years experience in the plant and construction industry.His previous positions before joining Carwood in March 2005 have included 15 years as service manager and then director with a national plant distributor. Dave also rides a motor cycle and continues to play five a side football and enjoys following F1 motor racing.
Sue Bevan. Manager SPS Division
Sue joined the company in June 1970 as a secretary and our first female member of staff. Having grown with the company and graduated through various jobs including our accounts department, Sue was the ideal person to form our Specialist Parts and Services division [SPS] which she has managed since its formation in 1982. Sue has developed an encyclopaedic knowledge of components for defence vehicles and equipment over the years through her dealings with NATO forces.
